Buzzards is in such a wonderful spot, nestled in the valley with the Little Dart River running through the grounds. The woods add great places to explore (more about those in 'In The Area') but the garden itself is a fun place to be with its lovely trees, flower beds, rhododendrums, pond and paths.
There is a Croquet set, Badminton set, Ping pong table, Football net and Boules.
There are Orchards on both sides of the house which are a mass of blossom in the Spring and weighed down by fruit in the Autumn - please help yourself to apples.
On the Southern side you cross the little bridge in the garden and the orchard is in front of you - we have put picnic tables and a fire pit near the deepest part of the river. Children love to play Swallows and amazons type games here.
Beyond the tables there is a narrow path through the woods which comes out on the lane by Worthy bridge- the Pooh sticks bridge. If you turn left over the bridge and up the hill you come to Huntland Wood which wends its way back towards Buzzards Wood.
Due to the unfenced ponds, children and pets must be supervised in the garden at all time
